We’re rereading the set (3rd time through) so that we’ll be ready for the release of volume 8! I feel as though the characters are like old friends (with the exception of Archibauld Flat). So delightful to visit with them again…

Rereading is wonderful with this set of books - more than any other I’ve come across! I’m on my 5th time (I think - hard to keep track), and still noticing things I didn’t catch before.

I agree! Just today I told my husband that I have never had a book series that I could reread like this one. I have read it completely through 2 times, but some books 3 times, and I love to just open a book and start reading wherever it lands for a few minutes. Or I am researching and looking up all the references to Shakespeare's works so I can pick up in the hints and possible themes. It is so much fun..

I’m on my third re-read as well, it’s truly amazing how it feels like I came across so many “new” details the second time! I’m in Hawaii and my book gets here on Thursday! Will be done with the third reread by then.

I like to write them so they are great rereads. Grin.

I LOVE the dragon imagery! I think it will influence my view of Fall in all the coming years!

Oh, the way you create images and emotions with your words! Such a gift! Thank you! (and for the art and poetry and music!)

This is lovely, and I ran into Matilde as a dragon in Emma 3 just after I read this post. I’m grinning.

Images of Matilde and Archibald hiding Emma’s gold, but Spring bringing it back to Emma 100 fold.

Ahh, May will come. Fall prophesies of Spring.

I too love the dragon imagery for November. I could think of this morning’s misty fog as the dragon’s steamy breath, and the rain that falls so often nowadays (in the Pacific Northwest) as his tears of joy at the beauty of trees and bushes that he’s lit on fire.

I didn't remember that poem from The Q.

Beautiful little moment :)

I loved the imagery of the season. I tried to read the poem and made it half way through. This is actually a compliment. I usually don't even make it that far in poetry. I am not a poetry reader, but I'm trying to diversify. I feel like if I can find the "right" kind of poetry I'll be into it.
