All of my books have been restocked at the Atticus bookshop on Park City Main Street. Pop in for a cup of something warm and pick up a book. You won’t regret taking a few hours out of your busy schedule to enjoy the brisk mountain air.

DEAR READERS,

It is October. Lovely, generous October. The poet Paul Laurence Dunbar wrote about the glories of the month in which we now find ourselves. It begins,

October is the treasurer of the year,
    And all the months pay bounty to her store;
The fields and orchards still their tribute bear,
    And fill her brimming coffers more and more

There is much written about this particular narrowing of the year, and for good reason. The beauty of fall gives courage to similar seasons in the long arc of our life. This blazing passage of cool, crisp color takes us from abundant summer to the rest and quiet of winter. Fall reminds us to take heart, to appreciate change, and can carry us through until the next spring, be it a spring of calendar or circumstance.
