Dear Reader,
On occasion, I am asked after the nature of The Crispian’s Gazette. That is why I’m sending this small explanatory note and two samples to all my subscribers. The St. Crispian’s Gazette is released every month. It is comprised of short fiction pieces—be they letters, scenes, or short stories—that provide anecdotes and insights into the characters from The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion. It is a paid subscription.
Here are two examples. The first is a letter, especially entertaining if you’ve read through volume 8. The second, a short story called Fletcher. It may break your heart.
It is always recommended that you be current with The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion before reading The St. Crispian’s Gazette.

To Whom It May Concern,
I write at the behest of Colonel Cecil T. Aspinall of Accipiter Hill in Gloucestershire. The request I make is unusual and deserves adequate information, and so I reveal that I am not only secretary for the Colonel, but also a granddaughter. With such understanding I trust the disclosure of certain family details will not be interpreted as indiscreet so much as explanatory—ample context to a request that may be deemed malapropos and, let us not beat around the bush, outright appalling.
I have just now been ordered to first explain both my position and our family history. I will endeavour to do both with brevity before addressing the issue at hand.
