I’m not above reminding you that when you last passed through London, and I asked why you hadn’t considered decamping here from New York, you went off on a list of profanity-laced reasons why you’d no wish to return in any kind of permanence to the British Isles. I replied that you were a lousy excuse of an Englishman. But we both already knew that.
